A passion project for a mate to create a brand and label design for a micro distillery.

Specialising in bourbon, rum and liqueuers, I wanted to encapsulate the essence of a cozy whiskey bar, where warmth, smoke, and even the odd cigar would mingle.

Back in high school, even my early uni days, I would draw a few people with my wacom tablet based off just a reference photo. Fair to say, Redneck made it hard to resist the urge to experiment with those old tricks of mine, knowing that the owner is well known for their beard and sunnies. 🤣😎

While a lot of graphic design and illustration went into this (like 85%), it was hard to say no to trying AI in the final shot. The whiskey bar ambiance, the subtle ingredients surrounding the bottles, that extra touch truly makes it POP. AI in the end brought a surprising authenticity and distinctiveness to complement the labels.

After that, I'm pretty thirsty. 🤣🥃🧊
